COVID-19 POLICY
What a different world we all now live in! In some ways, of course, not so different – rain is still going to fall from the sky and if you call me out to investigate it a leak in your roof this is what you can expect:
When I knock on your door I will stand well back – 2 metres or more is the Government recommendation. From there you can explain the roof problem and I will then put ladders up to investigate. The majority of roof problems can be diagnosed in this way without entry to the house being necessary. If it is necessary to enter your home, and you give me permission to do so, I will first use wipes to wash my hands and put on a pair of latex gloves. I will allow you to open all doors/loft hatches that might be required so that I can keep contact with the surfaces in your home to a minimum. Government guidance for entry to homes for tradesmen may change and I will provide updates on this.
If you have the cough or temperature that are the symptoms of Coronavirus please be honest and tell me, my next appointment of the day may be an elderly person or someone with underlying health issues and this is the time to act considerately.
It should be possible to provide the majority of roofing services while maintaining social distancing so my hope is that I will be able to continue to serve my customers. Thanks for your cooperation at this extraordinary time.
